TRIAD
A triad typically refers to a group or set of three elements that, together, can create something even greater.
Charbel is a multidisciplinary artist born in Lebanon and currently based in Belgium.
He studied Interior Architecture and worked as head of design for several international fashion brands between Beirut, Florence, brussels and Paris.
With a background in architecture and fashion design, Charbel has spent years cultivating his artistic practice that seamlessly merges these worlds .
In his work, the interplay of contrasts is the center: Softness meets hardness, the small juxtaposes the large, geometry interacts with the organic, and 2D elements blend with 3D forms.
This exploration of opposites extends to a diverse palette of materials and techniques, including oil paint, acrylic, charcoal, and textile manipulation.
By incorporating elements of fashion such as various textiles and stitches, Charbel deconstructs and reconstructs these two distinct disciplines, creating bold artworks that are simple yet complex
Through this approach, Charbel seeks to challenge perceptions, blending the familiar with the unexpected, and continuously exploring the potential of combining different worlds.
His work has been showcased in several group exhibitions and has been featured in publications such as ACT Magazine.
