Wonder Festival – Open call 2026
Creative
WONDER invites national and international designers, artists and collectives from all creative fields to participate with their products, installations or projects.
Your work
Your proposal fits within the DNA of the festival. WONDER is a festival for design, innovation, technology and art, but above all it is unique as a vibrant platform and connector for creative, innovative, sustainable, digital and social ideas, projects and products.
You can submit:
1. your own work or products
2. an installation, experience or project
3. a complete exhibition
4. a workshop, activity or event.
Please take the following conditions into account:
- Your submission has not been shown at WONDER before.
- You present your products in an inspiring way that appeals to multiple target groups. Please note that WONDER is not a trade fair, but a creative festival that focuses primarily on experience.
- You strive for (professional) quality in both content and presentation. We would like to see this ambition reflected in your application.
- We encourage the sustainable use of materials.
1. I want to participate with my products or work.
I don't have a location:
For designers and artists who want to present their own work and don't have a location, we provide a fixed format under the provisional working title 'DESIGN & ART SHOWCASE'. We will centralise these submissions at a single location along the route. You will be allocated 4 m² to present your work. More space may be available depending on your work. WONDER will provide the location, electricity connection and signage, but you are responsible for filling the space allocated to you.
If you want to submit a completely unique exhibition but do not yet have a location, we will help you in your search. Every year, we propose new and surprising locations that we make available to our participants.
I am submitting with a location:
You can also submit your own concept and location, which you manage yourself and for which you are therefore responsible. This location is on or around Buda Island. We also accept a few off-site locations, but to a limited extent. You confirm that you will be available to visit throughout the entire WONDER period.
2. I want to participate with an installation, project or experience
I don't have a location:
We will help you find a location tailored to your proposal, on or around Buda Island. Every year, we look for new and surprising locations that we make available to our participants. You will be responsible for filling your space.
I am submitting with a location:
You can also submit your own concept and location, which you manage yourself and for which you are therefore responsible. This location must be on or around Buda Island. We also accept a few off-site locations, but to a limited extent. You confirm that you will be available to visit throughout the entire WONDER period.
3. I want to participate with an event, activity or workshop
If you want to submit an event, activity or workshop, we will be happy to consider it on a case-by-case basis. The main location, the Budafabriek, is also available for external events. Please contact us for more information.
If you add an event, activity or workshop to your submission, we consider this to be a great added value. This allows us to link various target groups to other initiatives.
Student?
Are you a student enrolled in a creative design programme at a Belgian college or university and would you like to exhibit your student work at WONDER? Then you can submit your work for the WE ARE THE NEXT GENERATION exhibition. The open call will go online on Tuesday, 21 April 2026. Stay up to date via @wearethenextgeneration.be.

Fee
Participation in this category is free of charge. After selection, we will ask you to sign a disclaimer as a participant.
