CALAMITY

CALAMITY is an immersive audiovisual installation exploring the intense moment when life is irrevocably divided into before and after—highlighting the trauma and impact of conflict through movement, sound, and visual contrasts. This powerful experience is created collaboratively by artist Charbel Abou Zeidan, renowned for his sculptural works, fashion, and architectural influences; Midge "Mantissa" Sinnaeve, a visual director and CG artist known for mind-bending visuals; and Uncanny Creative Studio, specialists in motion design and impactful visual storytelling. Visitors will encounter a room filled with LED panels, seamlessly shifting between serene "ZEN" states and disorienting "CHAOS" states, each representing different facets of life. CALAMITY invites audiences not just to witness, but to personally engage and reflect on the collective and individual implications of calamity itself.
